The Subject

Good, clear photos are very important when commissioning a pet portrait. The quality of the photos can directly impact the detail of the finished portrait. It is always a good idea to include several different photos if possible showing different angles. This way I can cross reference them all to make sure the features and markings are acurate as it is often hard to see everything in one photo.

Photos can either be emailed to me at their full resolution, or you can post me copies. Please do not send me original photos, they are to precious to send in the mail.

I may also be able to take photos of your pet for you depending on your location. If you live out of the Central Nelson area then I may ask for a donation towards petrol costs. Please contact me to discuss this further.

I can do group portraits of pets from different photos if required. I can also do portraits of deceased pets, and will do my best with the photos you have available.

Please be aware that there is often a waiting list so contact me as early as possible if you require your portrait by a certain date so I can ensure it is ready for you in time.

Pricing

The current pricelist as of January 2009 is:

A5 Size ( 210mm X 148mm ) $120 NZD. This size is most suited to a single head and shoulder portrait.

A4 Size ( 298mm X 210mm ) $240 NZD. This size is most suited to two head and shoulder portraits, a single full body portrait, or a larger and more detailed single head and shoulder portrait.

A3 size ( 420mm X 298mm ) $480 NZD. This size is most suited to one or more highly detailed head and shoulder portraits or one or more full body portraits.

All prices include a background of your choice to suit your pet portrait. If you are unsure, I can help you choose something to complement your portrait. I do not charge any additional fees for extra subjects or detailed backgrounds.

All prices are in New Zealand Dollars and do not include postage and packaging. All portraits come unframed.

Payment can be made by Cash or Bank Deposit. I will also accept cheques but these must clear before I release the portrait to you. No deposit required.

Gift Vouchers and Certificates

Gift Vouchers and Personalized Gift Certificates are now available and are a great gift idea. Gift Vouchers can be purchased for any dollar value and can be used towards a portrait of any size. Personalized Gift Certificates are issued to a certain person for a particular pet and size, and do not reveal the value to the recipient. Please contact me for more information about either of these products.
